What is boudoir?
Even though boudoir photography has been around for a LONG time, it is still fairly unknown to the general public.
Boudoir: woman's dressing room, bedroom, or private sitting room*
The word boudoir really means a woman’s private space, so boudoir photography is the photographing of a woman in an intimate setting.
But If you're working with me, boudoir is a path to empowerment. It's a stepping stone - or the destination - on a journey of loving yourself and realizing your own beauty. It's the process of shedding your insecurities, like you would shed clothing, allowing you to feel sexy in YOUR body and mind.
Photographing a woman in an intimate setting, with little-to-no clothing, and focusing on each detail of the beauty that is a woman’s body can both frighten and empower those who decide to bare it all.
